How to Apply for a BankAmericard Travel Rewards Credit Card

If you enjoy traveling, the BankAmericard Travel Rewards Credit Card offers a flexible and convenient way to earn rewards to put towards your next vacation. The card’s travel rewards never expire and can be redeemed towards your choice of flights, hotels, vacation packages, cruises, rental cars, or baggage fees.

Requirements

To receive a BankAmericard Travel Rewards Credit Card, you must:

Be at at least 18 years of age
Have a credit history free of recent account delinquencies or bankruptcies

How to Apply

Step 1 – Visit the BankAmericard Travel Rewards Credit Card welcome screen. Read the card information carefully, then click on the blue “Apply now” button when you are ready to begin your application.

Step 2 – The top of the application page repeats the information found on the welcome screen, with links for answers to FAQs, online chat agent service, and a customer helpline to call if you have trouble completing the application.

Step 3 – If you are a current Bank of America customer, click on the “Save time and prefill your application” link. If you’re not a current customer, you’ll need to enter your application data manually. Start by providing your first name, middle name, last name, and preferred suffix. Enter your residential address, including city, state, and zip code. If you want to have your statement sent to a different address, check the “Send my statement to a different address” box and provide your preferred mailing address.

Provide your primary phone number, alternate phone number, and email address.

Step 4 – Select your country of citizenship and country of current residence from the various drop-down menu options. Complete the personal information section of the application by providing your mother’s maiden name.

Under the employment and finances section, select the option in the drop-down menu that describes your current employment status. If there are supplemental questions that appear when you make your choice, answer these as required. Enter your total annual income, source of income, liquid assets, housing status, and monthly housing payment to complete the section.

Step 5 – Under the additional options section, you have an opportunity to transfer a balance to your new credit card and/or add a second cardholder. Check the “Transfer a balance to my new credit card” box and provide your credit card institution, desired transfer amount, and account number if you wish to transfer a balance from one of your current credit cards to your BankAmericard Travel Rewards Credit Card. Check the “Add a cardholder” box and provide the cardholder’s full name, relationship to you, and either their Social Security number, date of birth, or address to request a second cardholder.

Under the terms and conditions section, click on the “View as PDF” link to save or print a copy of the document for your records. Review the document carefully, contacting Bank of America’s customer service team if you have any questions or concerns.

Step 6 – Check the box that indicates you’ve read and agree to the terms of the BankAmericard Travel Rewards Credit Card. Click on the blue “Review your information” button to double-check your application before it is submitted to Bank of America for final processing.
