If you are anything like me, you will be ecstatic with the fact that American Express provides their cardholders with the ability to completely manage their credit card from the comfort of their own home. Through a safe and secure login process, cardholders can manage their credit cards and activate any new cards they may have received through their online account. Once logged on, users can request additional cards, pay bills, review statement history, and update contact information. If you are having any difficulty with either accessing your online account or activating your new card, simply follow the steps listed in the helpful guide we have provided you, available below.
To begin the necessary steps to logging in to your American Express online account, you must first navigate to the American Express homepage. From the homepage, you will see a login window in the upper left of your screen. Enter your User ID and password in the blank spaces that are provided and then click the Log In button to proceed. If have forgotten your login information, simply click the Forgot User ID or Password? link and you will be brought to a retrieval page.
From the retrieval page pictured below, you will be asked to enter your Hilton HHonors Amex credit card number and corresponding 4-digit Card ID number to begin the retrieval process.
Activating the American Express credit card that you have recently received in the mail is something that you are going to have to do before you can use that card to make purchases. In order to activate your card you can either call American Express directly at (1-800-528-4800) and someone will help you, or you can do it yourself online by creating an online account. As using your online account to manage your purchases and other aspects of the card is highly recommended, we will walk you through that process. Navigate to the American Express login page, linked above, and click the Create New Online Account link among the options in the login tab.
To begin the activation process, enter your Hilton HHonors Surpass Amex credit card number and corresponding 4-digit Card ID number into the spaces provided. Once you have entered this information in correctly you will be asked to set your account preferences and review your card benefits before the activation process can be completed.
