The Kohl’s Credit Card is a classic retail store card aimed at frequent Kohl’s shoppers who want to stack extra savings on top of store promotions. It has no annual fee, but instead of traditional rewards, it focuses on Kohl’s Cash-style rewards, targeted discounts, and exclusive coupon events. New cardholders often get a first-purchase discount (commonly 20–35% off), which is one of its main selling points.
Most users say they like the frequent coupons and the ability to combine cardholder discounts with Kohl’s ongoing sales. Many reviewers mentioned that, if you time your purchases right, the savings can feel significant compared to shopping without the card.
On the downside, many reviewers point out that the card comes with a very high APR, limited usability outside Kohl’s, and inconsistent value depending on how often you shop there. Others also mention that the “discount-driven” structure can encourage spending more than planned.
Personally, I think the Kohl’s Credit Card is best for loyal Kohl’s shoppers who always pay their balance in full and know how to maximize coupons. If you’re looking for flexible cash back or a card you can use everywhere, a general rewards credit card will usually be a stronger choice.
I got this to help me snag better deals on clothes and home stuff, and it's honestly been a great fit. Every time there's a store wife sale, I get extra discounts that really make a difference. The check out process is smooth, and I never worry unexpected fees.
Worst online payment
Had this card about 2 months. I have yet to receive a statement but what I did receive was a late statement. So, when I go to the store to find out what the balance is, you cannot. Some customer privacy thing. Okay. But, could I find out what I owe so I am not dinged on my credit report as having a late payment? Not easy to access. Not easy to use online.
Dear: Lana Bittenbender perhaps you don't get increase because income to debt ratio or credit history . Anyway just keep clean low credit ratio and you should get increase ! But as far as kohls charge its the best . A because no Annual cost , B because as long as you make the minimum monthly payment ( which is a portion of your balance ) there is no interest charged ! C all the above no annual fee or monthly interest ! JC pennys is the worst ! I got one and never use it ! 24% interest on all charges until debt is paid ridicules if you got half decent credit pennys is not your best choice !
I love my Kohl's card and all of the savings
There are no increases on card. Never made a payment late and even paid more then required but can never get an increase. The APR is ridiculously high with no chance of a decrease. I only keep to help credit score. JcPenney is the best department store card to get, they give increases regularly and show their users how much they are appreciated. This card does nothing to say thank you to their users!!!!! Would never recommend this card to anyone.
