The Lowe’s Consumer Credit Card is a store-branded card issued by Synchrony Bank, built for homeowners and DIY shoppers who regularly spend at Lowe’s. Instead of traditional cash back, it focuses on instant discounts and promotional financing options, such as 5% off eligible purchases or deferred interest plans for larger home improvement projects.
Most users say they like the immediate savings at checkout, especially the straightforward 5% discount that can add up on big renovation purchases. Many reviewers mentioned that the financing offers are helpful for managing expensive projects like appliances, flooring, or repairs when used carefully.
On the downside, many customers point out that the card doesn’t earn flexible rewards and that the high APR can become costly if balances aren’t paid off during promotional periods. Others also mention confusion or frustration around deferred interest terms, which can lead to unexpected charges.
Personally, I think the Lowe’s Consumer Credit Card is best for homeowners planning large, short-term projects who can pay off purchases quickly or fully during promotional financing windows. If you want long-term rewards, cash back, or everyday spending value, a general-purpose credit card will usually be the better choice.
I took this card for a one time purchase and quickly regretted it. The interest kicked in sooner than I expected, and I barely used it afterward. Not worth the clutter in my wallet or the high APR.
Managing the card is easy, good website. I filled out a financial worksheet recently and noticed that of the several accounts I have this card charges the highest interest rate. I've changed my shopping habits after this realization.
I have had this card a few years, I have used it for big and small purchases. I am very happy with it.
Its a great card to have, but the interest rates are kind of high needs to drop. faithful customers would use it more often if it dropped in the interest cost more.
Try to find a better deal. This web site sucks. always slow. it is so stupid, it puts some of the background code in a display box for hackers to read. I now know a lot about the code used to run this site. Where is the security. Worst is the many times you have to try to login just to make a payment.
I've been using this card for years and I am extremely happy with it.
Screwed-up website!
