How to Login

Navigate to this website to access the online login page. There you will need to enter your Username into the entry field and click Login.


If PenFed doesn’t recognize the computer you’re currently operating from then you may be required to supply some security information. If this is the case for yourself, supply the answer to your security question in the empty field and, just below that, choose one of the available options to specify whether or not you’d like to register your computer with PenFed’s operating system. Proceed onto the next few pages where you’ll need to enter your password before access will be granted to your online banking account.


If at any point you forget your user name, click on the Forgot Username? link located within the login menu. On the following page, supply your Social Security Number into the entry field and click Continue. Following this step, an email will be sent to you containing your forgotten user name. PF-User-Name-1

For those who have forgotten their password, click on the Forgot Password? link found just below the login field on the main page. In the window that follows, click Let’s Get Started! to proceed.


PenFed will need to verify your identity before you can retrieve your password. The first method of verification will be through the use of your PenFed member number. Enter your Member Number into the field, followed by your Security Code, and the first 3 digits of your SSN. Once entered, click Continue to have an email sent to you containing your forgotten password.


You can also recover your password through the use of your user name. You’ll simply need to supply your User Name, your Security Code, and the first 3 digits of your SSN. After everything has been entered, click Continue to proceed and PenFed will send you your password via email. PF-Forgot-2

Each of the last two methods of verification are the same in that you will need to provide your Social Security Number exclusively. Once entered, click Continue to proceed and you will receive an email shortly containing your user name. Now that you have your user name, you can retrieve your password through the “User Name” method of identity verification which we’ve described above.



In the event that you forget both your user name and password, click on the Forgot Username and Password? link located in the main login menu. On the page that follows, supply your Social Security Number and click Continue. This action will result in an email being sent to you containing your user name. Next, use your user name to verify your identity via the “User Name” method of password retrieval that we’ve described above. Now that you have your user name and password, you’ll be able to access your online banking account.



To activate your card, call the number located above to speak to a customer service representative. Once your card has been activated, you can navigate to the online registration page by clicking on the Secure registration link posted just above the activation phone number. There you will need to click on the Register for online banking link.


Here you will simply need to select the Let’s Get Started! tab to proceed onto the next page.


On this page, enter your Member Number, your Security Code, and the middle 2 digits of your SSN. Once entered, click Continue to proceed. On the next several pages, you will be able to set up your account by choosing a user name and password. Your account will be ready for use once you’ve successfully completed each of these steps.
