The Target Circle Credit Card is a no-annual-fee store card best known for its 5% discount on eligible Target purchases, along with free shipping and extended return periods. New cardholders may also receive a Target Circle Rewards bonus after meeting the introductory spending requirement.
Most users say the card is valuable for frequent Target shoppers because the 5% savings apply automatically to eligible purchases. Many reviewers mentioned that the discount can add up quickly for households that regularly buy groceries, household items, clothing, or other Target products.
On the downside, the card has limited usefulness outside Target. Some users also point out that it doesn’t offer a traditional flexible cash-back or travel rewards program, so occasional Target shoppers may not get much value. The purchase APR can also be relatively high if balances are carried.
Personally, I think the Target Circle Credit Card makes sense for loyal Target shoppers who pay their balance in full each month. If you want rewards that work across many retailers or prefer travel points, a general-purpose rewards card may be a better fit.
I use my target RedCard almost weekly and the 5% discount really adds up. It's especially great during back to school and holiday sales. The checkout is fast, and returns feels smoother too. For anyone who shops at target often, This card is one of the easiest ways to save without juggling points or promos
Good for frequent Target shoppers, but limited outside that world
As someone who shops at Target regularly (weekly grocery runs, household items, etc.), the Target RedCard Credit Card made sense. The discount at checkout is immediate which is nice, and the card integrates well into Target’s ecosystem (app, stores, etc.).
However: when I use the card outside of Target (some online, travel, etc.), the rewards/benefits aren’t as strong compared to general-purpose cards. Also, if Target stops a promotion or changes terms, you may feel the impact. If your spending is heavy outside Target, you might be missing out on better overall rewards elsewhere.
The best card ever love it!
Excellent card with the 5% off any purchase, plus the use of cartwheel and the in store discounts. I am very pleased!
